Description

Excellent condition carry-on compliant bag, only used for one trip to Japan in 2024 and occasionally here at home. I added the two extra light brown buckles you see on the side so the compression straps can come down tighter and slimmer than the original so the bag is more comfortable when it's not full, or to use as a daypack on the trip and not have to pack another small backpack. They don't get in the way or affect it in standard use. This feature I came up with was really handy when traveling because I could just pull out the packing cubes that have my changes of clothes, toiletries, electronics when I got to the hotel, and just leave my rain jacket or headphones or essentials for being out and about, while still having plenty of room for shopping or carrying my partner's jackets or stuff like that. Since it has an extremely comfortable and supportive hip belt and hiking/backpacking inspired frame, walking around with a daypack's worth of stuff feels like nothing and is way more comfy than a regular backpack. I'm a slender 5'11" guy and loading this with 20+ pounds was no problem to run around with and take trains and run up stairs with due to the supportive design. I owned the previous version of this backpack for 7 years and it had no signs of wear from regular use. Now I have too many bags and am kind of switching more over to roller suitcase and haven't really used this Farpoint.
