My wife, Valerie, and I recently purchased a vehicle from Risen Motors, and we wanted to share our overwhelmingly positive experience. Unlike previous car-buying experiences, which were often characterized by high-pressure sales tactics and protracted negotiations, our visit to Risen was remarkably different.

From the outset, the sales representative’s approach was refreshingly low-pressure and accommodating. He readily provided access to the vehicles we were interested in and patiently answered all our questions. This positive initial interaction was further enhanced by our meeting with the owner, who took the time to discuss his business philosophy and offered us refreshments. His transparency regarding financing options and available warranties was particularly appreciated.

We expressed some initial concerns about the vehicle, and the owner addressed them directly and proactively. While there was a minor delay in obtaining a necessary part, the dealership's provision of a loaner vehicle demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction. The final price was also surprisingly favorable.

(Edit: I disagree with the dealer’s response below. I was polite with VW staff and did not behave in the way described. I stand by my experience as written) Do not buy a car from these absolute clowns. From day one, the check-engine light lit up like a Christmas tree — turns out they ‘Cobb-togethered’ this car just enough to limp it through the sale. Their so-called 30-day ‘warranty’ is a joke; they refused a return, refused repairs, and now I’m stuck with an $11,000 driveway ornament.

The salesman looked like he just rolled out of bed and thought sweatpants counted as professional attire. When I asked about the problems, they acted like I was the unreasonable one.

If you enjoy throwing away money and arguing with people who treat accountability like it’s optional, this is your place. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else

Do not recommend. The communication is very limited and poor. I am financing a vehicle through them, has been almost a month. It’s been one thing after another. They told us the vehicle was ready, and automatically realized multiple things wrong with it. First it went into the shop for a ball joint. Got it back, the wheel shook over 60MPH, there was a horrible cranking noise coming from the front end. Did not leave the parking lot and heard the noise and issues were still there. Got out and explained the issue, went on 2 different test drives with 2 different mechanics. The mechanic thought it needed an alignment, so they sent us over to get one and it did not fix the issue. Went back over to Risen and the 2nd mechanic said the tires needed to be balanced.. but they already did that??? Also stated, the stirring rack will more than likely be the problem for the cranking noise and will fix that if so.  Here I am, a week later, haven’t heard nothing. They haven’t looked at it, and Mike didn’t even know my car was left there to be looked at! Ugh.. any suggestions on what to do?? It’s a 2012.. and has been nothing but complications.

bought a car a year ago… car started experiencing transmission issues saying service transmission on the dash a month and a half after i bought it brought it back got told it was a “glitch” since my transmission is supposedly electronic then 8 months after the so called glitch it it happened again and this time my car wouldn’t shift out of first gear. Called them multiple days in a row finally got through and got told i would have to bring it to this place they recommended to get it diagnosed but upon calling said place they said they wouldn’t take my car because they won’t accept my warranty that i was given when i first got the car. called risen back and was told they would call and speak with them and to call them the next day, called the recommended place the next day and they said they never heard from them called risen back and got brushed off and they wouldn’t even get on the phone to speak with me, finally took my car to a reliable mechanic shop and got the problem taken care of and covered through my warranty. this headache should of been dealt with the first or second time i brought it up to them. not only did i experience transmission issues also didn’t have highbeams for a week or 2 and got told it was just the bulbs to try to change them and then they will take a look it wasn’t just the bulbs it was the whole switch which they did fix, then had a problem with my airbags turns out it was the wire under my driver seat got told it got fixed, air bag light went away and then came back on a month and a half later. This could of all been avoided if my concerns were listen to on a vehicle i’m paying a good amount of money for

bought the car at 132,000 miles transmission replaced at 139,000 miles

warranty was good for 12,000 miles or a year my year just ended after i had to take my car to a reliable mechanic shop to get it fixed
