I am filing a complaint regarding deceptive and misleading sales practices by Chevrolet of Montebello related to the attempted purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet Traverse.

On February 28, 2026, I was informed through text messages and recorded phone calls from dealership representatives that my financing through Capital One was approved and that the deal was finalized and ready for signing and vehicle pickup. Based on these representations, I drove from Fontana, CA to the dealership. Upon arrival, I was told there was no contract available to sign and was instead pressured to complete another credit application and provide references, which directly contradicted what I had been told prior to my visit. The primary individual I dealt with was Carlos Rodriguez, Sales Manager. When I questioned why the promised contract was not ready, he questioned my knowledge of financing and made dismissive remarks rather than addressing the misleading communication. I did not sign any contract. I have screenshots and the dealership has recorded calls that support that I was misled into coming to the dealership under the belief that the approved deal was ready for signing and pickup.

I am requesting that Chevrolet of Montebello honor the pricing and financing terms that were represented to me as approved, including no dealer add-ons, should I choose to proceed with the purchase. Given the misleading communication and the inconvenience of traveling to the dealership under the belief that the deal was ready for signing and pickup, I am also requesting a reasonable price concession or discount as a goodwill accommodation.

I had been looking for a Tahoe with certain features for quite some time. After several months not seeing one with the options I wanted I was connected with Sam who assisted me with ordering one exact to my preferences. Sam was thorough and checked in with me consistently throughout the process. Once my Tahoe arrived Sam called me and introduced me to Robert who walked me through my new Tahoe and the purchase process with ease. Finally, Junior was on top of finalizing the process and ensured my purchase was without issue. The entire team respected my time and made my purchase trouble free even continuing to follow up post purchase to ensure no issues. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Thank you Sam, Robert and Junior for the best car purchase experience I have had to date!

I am very disappointed with my experience at this Chevy dealership’s service department. I brought my brand-new car in to be fixed, and when I picked it up the first time, I noticed that my car had been scratched while it was in their care. I brought this to their attention immediately, and instead of an apology or concern, I was simply told to bring it back so they could fix it. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience or responsibility for the damage.

To make matters worse, the original issue I brought the car in for was not even fixed the first time. When I returned the vehicle, it took an entire week to complete the repair. When I came to pick it up, Julian, the service representative, was extremely defensive, unapologetic, and dismissive of my concerns. Rather than taking accountability, I was made to feel as though the situation was somehow my fault.

They showed little regard for my time or the fact that I was without my vehicle, which caused major inconvenience as I had to find alternative transportation. When I expressed that I needed my car back as soon as possible, my concerns were brushed off.

This is a brand-new car, and I’ve already had to bring it in multiple times. What is the point of purchasing a new vehicle if you constantly have to bring it back for repairs and deal with a service team that does not seem to care about its customers?

I strongly suggest thinking twice before bringing your vehicle to this dealership. Based on my experience, the service representatives lack accountability, professionalism, and concern for their customers.

Went in a few weeks ago to get my oil pan and thermostat serviced on my Camaro. The thermostat was fixed, but the oil pan sensor was damaged after getting the leaking oil pan redone. The gm did a great job of resolving the issue and redoing the job for only the cost of the part.
